Review automation: the request goes out when the job closes

The short answer

Review automation sends a short message with a direct link to your Google review form when a job closes, waits, and sends one polite follow-up if nothing happened. It is built from CA$149 one-time on your CRM, booking or invoicing tool, with consent and unsubscribe handled so the messages respect CASL.

What changes

  • Requests go out the same day, every time, without anyone remembering
  • Customers land on the review form in one tap, not on a search for your name
  • One follow-up recovers the people who meant to but forgot
  • You can see how many requests went out and how many reviews arrived

What is included

  • Trigger from your CRM, booking system, invoicing tool or a one-tap button
  • Message templates in your voice by email and, with consent, SMS
  • Direct link to your Google review form, plus one other platform if useful
  • Single follow-up after a set number of days
  • Suppression rules so nobody is asked twice or asked after a complaint
  • Monthly count of requests sent and reviews received

How it works

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Invoice paid, appointment completed, delivery confirmed or deal won: whichever means the job is truly done.

  2. 02

    Write the messages

Two short messages, first request and one follow-up, in your voice with your link.

  3. 03

    Build and test

Connected to your tool and tested end to end with a real record.

  4. 04

    Run and count

Live on every closed job, with a monthly count of requests and reviews.

Who this is for

Trades and service businesses that finish a job and move on to the next: plumbers, electricians, landscapers, garages, salons, dental practices. The work is good; the asking is what never happens.

This page covers the mechanism. If you want the full routine, including responses, display on your site and monitoring, the Reputation Systems page describes that.

How the workflow is built

The workflow has four parts. The trigger is the one that decides whether it works.

Review automation building blocks
PartOptionsOur default
TriggerInvoice paid, appointment completed, delivery confirmed, deal won, manual buttonThe event closest to the customer being happy
ChannelEmail, SMS, WhatsAppEmail first; SMS where consent exists
TimingSame day, next morning, customSame day, within business hours
Follow-upNone, one, twoOne, after three days
SuppressionComplaint flagged, asked recently, opted outAll three

What it costs

The workflow is from CA$149 one-time as an Automation. It is included in Local Search Management from CA$299 per month. SMS requests carry carrier usage fees billed separately; email requests use your existing provider at no extra charge from Redenn.

Limitations and honest notes

The workflow asks every customer. Google's policies prohibit review gating, and we do not build filters that ask only people who seemed happy.

No incentives, no purchased reviews, no fake reviews. Redenn will not build any of these, and platforms remove them when found.

Requests are electronic messages under CASL: consent is recorded, the sender is identified and every message carries an unsubscribe. Redenn cannot guarantee how many customers will leave a review.

Questions

Which triggers can start the request?

Invoice paid in your accounting tool, appointment completed in your booking system, deal won in your CRM, or a button your staff tap on a phone.

Email or SMS?

Email works everywhere without usage fees. SMS gets more attention but needs consent and carries carrier charges. Many businesses use email first and SMS for the follow-up.

Can we exclude a customer?

Yes, for a legitimate reason such as an open complaint. Excluding people because you expect a low rating is review gating, which Google prohibits.

How many messages does a customer get?

Two at most: the request and one follow-up. Anyone who reviews or opts out receives nothing further.
