CRM for small business: one place where every lead and customer lives

The short answer

A CRM is the system where every lead, customer, conversation and job lives, so nothing depends on one person's memory or inbox. Redenn sets up an off-the-shelf CRM around your pipeline from CA$299, connects your website, chat and phone to it, and builds a custom CRM only when a product genuinely does not fit.

What changes

  • Any team member can see a customer's history before picking up the phone
  • Leads have an owner and a next action, so fewer slip through
  • Quotes, jobs and follow-ups are visible in one list instead of three inboxes
  • Reports on where customers come from are possible for the first time

What is included

  • A recommendation: off-the-shelf CRM, configured, or custom build, with reasons
  • CRM Setup: pipeline, fields, users, forms and phone feeding it
  • CRM integration for website forms, chat, booking and ad lead forms
  • Contact import from spreadsheets, email or an old system
  • Team training session and a one-page guide
  • Follow-up automation as an option

How it works

  1. 01

    Fit

We look at how you sell and deliver and recommend an off-the-shelf CRM or, rarely, a custom build.

  2. 02

    Set up

Pipeline, fields and users configured; contacts imported; sources connected.

  3. 03

    Train

A short session with the people who will use it every day.

  4. 04

    Review

After a month, we look at what is being used and fix what is not.

Who this is for

Businesses where more than one person talks to customers, or where a sale takes more than one conversation: realtors, mortgage brokers, renovators, immigration consultants, HVAC companies, accountants. If you have ever lost a lead because it was in someone else's phone, this is for you.

A one-person business with a handful of customers a month does not need a CRM yet. A good spreadsheet and the Lead Follow-Up Automation cover it until volume grows.

Do you need a CRM?

If three or more of these are true, a CRM will pay for itself in recovered leads.

Off-the-shelf or custom

Almost every small business is best served by an established CRM configured properly. A custom CRM is for the few whose process is genuinely unusual and central to how they make money; the Custom CRM page has the fit test we apply.

Limitations and honest notes

A CRM only works if the team uses it. Setup includes training, but the habit is yours to enforce; we will tell you after a month if the data shows it is not being used.

Vendor subscriptions are paid to the vendor and vary by plan and seat count. We do not resell subscriptions or take commission.

Customer records are personal information under PIPEDA or provincial law. Access controls and a retention rule are part of setup; the privacy policy is your responsibility.

Questions

Which CRM do you recommend?

It depends on your pipeline, team size and the tools you already pay for. We are not tied to a vendor and we do not earn commission, so the recommendation is about fit.

Can a CRM replace my spreadsheet?

Yes, and the spreadsheet is usually the starting import. The difference is that a CRM gives every record an owner, a stage and a history.

What happens to my existing contacts?

They are cleaned and imported as part of CRM Setup, with duplicates merged and consent status recorded where you have it.

Is a CRM the same as automation?

No. The CRM stores and organizes; automations act on it. Lead Follow-Up Automation from CA$149 is the usual first addition.
