The short answer

Local search work costs CA$199 one-time for Redenn's Local Search Foundation (Search Setup plus Google Business Profile optimization and local structured data) and from CA$299 per month for Local Search Management of one location, covering the profile, local landing pages, a review request workflow and monthly reporting. Multi-location businesses are quoted per location or move to Search Everywhere from CA$999 per month, and no plan can promise a position in the map results.

What local search is, and is not

Local search is every moment a customer looks for a business near them: a map search for a plumber, a voice query in the car, a Google Business Profile card with hours and reviews, an AI answer recommending three clinics in Mississauga. It is won by being clearly located, clearly described, well reviewed and consistently listed, not by stuffing city names into page titles.

It is not the same as general SEO. A business that serves one city can be nearly invisible in national results and still be the obvious choice on the map, which is why local work is scoped and priced separately.

Costs at a glance

Every figure below is from Redenn's published price list. The foundation is a one-time job; management is monthly and optional.

Google Business Profile: the work that matters

Your Google Business Profile is the listing that appears in Maps and in the local results. Optimizing it is not a one-click job; it is a set of decisions and a habit of upkeep.

  • Claim and verify ownership under an account the business controls, not an agency's.
  • Choose the primary category carefully and secondary categories honestly.
  • Match the name, address and phone exactly to the website and every other listing.
  • Write the description for a customer, list services with prices where you can, and keep hours current, including holidays.
  • Add real photos regularly: premises, team, work in progress, finished jobs.
  • Answer questions and reply to every review, positive or not.

Local pages, done honestly

A local page is a page for a place or service you genuinely serve: furnace repair in Brampton from a company whose vans are in Brampton. Search engines and customers both see through dozens of near-identical pages generated for every town in a province. Redenn builds local pages only where there is something true to say about that area: travel time, notable projects, local licensing, the team who covers it.

Each additional standard page is CA$49. Three well-written area pages will do more than thirty thin ones, and they will not put the domain at risk.

A reviews workflow that respects the rules

Reviews are the strongest local signal a customer can see, and the one you cannot buy. The workflow is simple: ask every customer at the right moment, make it a one-tap link, ask everyone the same way rather than only the customers who seem happiest, and reply to what comes in. Check Google's current review policies before you design the ask and keep it plain.

Local Search Management includes the request workflow and monthly reporting. An automation workflow from CA$149 can send the request automatically when a job is marked complete in your CRM or booking tool, which is the point at which most businesses stop asking manually.

Single location versus multi-location

For one location, the foundation plus Local Search Management covers the profile, the pages and the reviews. For several locations the work multiplies: each needs its own verified profile, its own page with unique content, its own review flow and its own reporting.

  • Single location: Local Search Foundation CA$199, then Local Search Management from CA$299 per month if you want it managed.
  • A few locations: ask for a per-location quote under Local Search Management with one shared report.
  • Many locations or a competitive market: Search Everywhere from CA$999 per month, which includes multi-location coverage, more content and conversion optimization.

What local SEO cannot do

The limits are worth stating plainly, because they are where budgets get wasted.

  • It cannot place you in the map results for a city where you have no real presence.
  • It cannot make up for slow replies to calls and messages; the AI receptionist and lead follow-up exist for that reason.
  • It cannot guarantee a position. Results depend on competitors, reviews and Google's systems.
  • It cannot fix inconsistent business information you have not corrected at the source.

Questions

How much does local SEO cost per month?

Redenn's Local Search Management is from CA$299 per month for one location. Multi-location businesses are quoted per location or use Search Everywhere from CA$999 per month.

I already have a Google Business Profile. Do I still need local SEO?

Having a profile is the start. Optimizing categories, services, photos and hours, keeping information consistent everywhere and building a reviews habit is the work, and it is what the CA$199 foundation and the monthly plan cover.

Can I manage my Google Business Profile myself?

Yes, and many owners do. Redenn's foundation sets it up properly and the checklist above tells you what to keep doing. Pay for management only if you will not do it consistently.

How many location pages should I have?

One per area or service you can describe truthfully and specifically. A page you could not write a unique paragraph for should not exist.

Is a service-area business different?

Slightly. If you visit customers rather than receiving them, your profile can hide the address and show service areas instead, and your local pages should describe the areas you actually cover.

Does local SEO work for a brand-new business?

The foundation does: a verified profile, consistent information and clear pages. Reviews take time to accumulate, so the first months are about building the habit rather than expecting the map to change overnight.
