Limitations and honest notes
A language model can be wrong. The guardrails keep answers within your approved material and hand off when unsure, but no assistant is perfect, and it should never give medical, legal or financial advice on your behalf.
Chat transcripts contain personal information and are covered by PIPEDA or provincial law; the privacy policy on your site should say chat is logged.
If you serve the Quebec public, the chat must be available in French. It can be configured for both languages at setup.
Questions
Will the chat make things up?
It is restricted to your approved knowledge base and told to hand off when it does not know. That removes most invention, and the monthly transcript review catches the rest.
Can it hand off to a real person?
Yes. During hours you set it can pass to a live person on email or WhatsApp; outside those hours it captures the lead and promises a reply.
Does it work in French?
Yes. It can answer in French and English, and the knowledge base is maintained in both if you serve Quebec customers.
