Websites, booking and automation for salons and spas

The short answer

A salon or spa website is a booking page with a price list attached, and everything else is secondary. Redenn builds salon sites that book by stylist and service, take deposits where you want them, send reminders that reduce no-shows, and let staff update the service menu and the team page without a developer, from CA$299 for a Starter site with booking added.

The problems we hear from salons, barbershops and spas

  • The phone rings while I am mid-colour and the client in the chair deserves my attention.
  • No-shows and last-minute cancellations cost us a chair for an afternoon.
  • Clients want a specific stylist and the booking link makes them phone to ask.
  • Our real presence is Instagram; the website is a year out of date.
  • The price list changes and the site still shows the old one.
  • Staff turnover means the team page is always wrong.

The solution architecture

Each piece maps to a real Redenn service with a published price.

  1. Booking by stylist, service and duration

Integration with your salon software's online booking where you use one, or a booking system with staff, service and duration, confirmations and reminders, so clients book the right person at the right time.

    Booking Systems
  2. Deposits and cancellation terms that are clear

Deposits taken at booking for services you choose, with the cancellation policy shown before payment. Payment integration from CA$99; processor fees are separate.

    Appointment Automation
  3. A service menu staff can edit

The price list is page content in the CMS, organized by category, with durations and starting prices, updated by the front desk in minutes.

    Website Design
  4. Instagram on the site, not instead of it

A gallery and specials feed that pulls from your social posts, so the website shows current work without extra effort.

    Social Media Management
  5. Rebooking and lapsed-client reminders

A message when a client is due for their next visit and a gentle note to clients who have not booked in a while, sent only to those who consented.

    SMS Automation
  6. Reviews after every visit

A review request after checkout with a direct link, and responses handled from one place.

    Review Automation
  7. Local search for your neighbourhood

Google Business Profile with services, staff, booking link and photos, and consistent details so a search for a salon nearby shows the right hours and a way to book.

Where salons, barbershops and spas usually start

How customers find a salon in Canada

New clients find a salon through a friend, a stylist's social media or a search for a service near them, then check the price list, the photos and whether they can book without calling. Existing clients want the booking link and nothing else. A site that makes the first booking easy and the tenth booking instant is doing its job.

Google states that its AI features in Search use the core index and ranking systems with no special requirements beyond standard SEO practice. A maintained Google Business Profile with a booking link, a service menu that is real text on the page, and consistent hours are what get surfaced in both classic and AI results.

What a salon website must do

It should book, inform and stay current with almost no effort from a busy floor.

Pages and features for a salon or spa
Page or featurePurpose
Book now, everywhereThe primary action on every page and on Google Business Profile.
Service menu with prices and durationsEditable by staff; answers the price question.
Team page with booking per stylistLets clients follow their stylist; easy to update.
Gallery from socialCurrent work without maintaining two places.

Gift cardsPayment link or checkout for gift purchases.
Hours, location and parkingThe practical answers, matched to Google.

Automation and CRM for salons and spas

Salon software usually holds the client list and the calendar; the website's job is to feed it and the automation's job is to reduce no-shows and bring clients back. Reminders, deposits, rebooking prompts and review requests are the four that matter.

Worked example at published prices: a Starter site at CA$299 with Booking added at CA$99 and Payment integration from CA$99 for deposits, hosted on Redenn Lite at CA$99/year if the site is static or Redenn Business at CA$199/year with forms. A rebooking and review workflow is from CA$149. For a multi-stylist floor, Business Plus at CA$799 includes booking and a CMS for the menu and team page.

  • Confirmation and reminder before every appointment with a reschedule link.
  • Deposit taken at booking for selected services.
  • Rebooking prompt when the client is due.
  • Review request after checkout.

Compliance and trust

In some provinces hairstyling is a certified trade with its own licensing, and aesthetics services may have their own rules; state certifications as held. Deposits and cancellation fees should be disclosed before payment, in plain language, and applied as stated; a policies page and the booking flow are where that happens.

Rebooking prompts, promotions and lapsed-client messages are commercial electronic messages under CASL and need consent, identification and an unsubscribe option; an appointment reminder for a booked visit is not. Booking forms collect personal information, so a short privacy notice under PIPEDA or the equivalent provincial law is expected. Quebec salons must make the site available in French.

Questions

Can clients book a specific stylist online?

Yes. If you use salon software with online booking, we integrate with it. Otherwise a booking system with staff, service and duration is used, with confirmations and reminders.

Can we take deposits for appointments?

Yes, for the services you choose, with the cancellation policy shown before payment. Payment integration is from CA$99 and processor fees are separate.

Can the site pull from our Instagram?

Yes. A gallery and specials feed can display your recent posts so the site stays current with the work you already share.

What does a salon website cost with Redenn?

Starter at CA$299 plus Booking at CA$99 suits a small salon. Business Plus at CA$799 includes booking and a CMS for a larger floor with a changing menu and team.

Are rebooking texts allowed?

With consent, yes. CASL requires consent, sender identification and an unsubscribe option for promotional messages, and the automation is built with those from the start.
