Do your prices include GST/HST?Example

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST/HST and provincial sales tax, which are added at your province's rate.

Example: an Ontario business buying the Business package

The invoice shows CA$499 for the package plus 13% HST as a separate line. A client in Alberta sees 5% GST instead. Rates change, so the invoice always uses the current CRA rate.

What does 'from' mean on a price?Example

It is the starting price for the standard scope. If your project needs more, the written quote explains exactly what and why before any work starts.

Are there costs you do not control?Example

If you meet CIRA's Canadian Presence Requirements, for example as a Canadian corporation, citizen or permanent resident.

Canada-specific

Does my website need to be in French?Example

If you serve the Quebec public, Quebec's Charter of the French Language, as amended by Bill 96, requires commercial websites to be available in French.

Example: an Ottawa restaurant with customers in Gatineau

Taking online orders from Quebec customers means serving the Quebec public, so the menu, ordering and policy pages need French versions, written or reviewed by a professional.

Does AODA apply to my Ontario business?

The AODA website requirement (WCAG 2.0 Level AA) applies to private and non-profit organizations with 50 or more employees in Ontario, and to public-sector organizations. We build accessibly either way.

Which privacy law applies to my website?

PIPEDA applies to private-sector organizations in commercial activity, except where a province has substantially similar legislation, as Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta do.
