A business dashboard you can read in the time it takes to drink a coffee

The short answer

A business dashboard pulls the numbers that matter from the tools you already use, such as your CRM, booking system, accounting software, website analytics and Google Business Profile, into one screen you check each morning. Redenn scopes and builds each dashboard per project on Next.js and Supabase, quoted after we agree which numbers earn a place on it.

What changes

  • Yesterday's leads, today's jobs and this week's cash on one screen
  • Problems visible the day they start, not at month end
  • One agreed set of numbers instead of each person's spreadsheet
  • Alerts when a number crosses a line you set

What is included

  • Metric workshop: the eight to twelve numbers that actually drive decisions
  • Connections to CRM, booking, accounting, analytics and Google Business Profile
  • Scheduled data pulls stored in your own database
  • A secure dashboard page with login, readable on a phone
  • Threshold alerts by email or SMS
  • Monthly check that every source is still connected

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose the numbers

A short workshop to agree what you would act on if it moved, and to leave out what you would not.

  2. 02

    Connect the sources

Each tool connected by API, with the pull schedule set per source.

  3. 03

    Build

The dashboard built and checked against the source systems for accuracy.

  4. 04

    Run

Live with alerts; a monthly check that sources are still reporting correctly.

Who this is for

Owners of businesses with several moving parts: freight companies balancing loads and drivers, manufacturers tracking quotes and production, contractors juggling jobs and cash, clinics and gyms watching bookings and attendance. If you check four tools every morning, this is the fifth that replaces them.

It is not for a business with one tool and one number. The tool's own reports are enough.

What goes on it

Every number must answer a question you would act on. This is a typical set for a service business.

What it costs

The dashboard is quoted per project, driven mainly by the number of sources. It runs on Redenn Dynamic hosting at CA$49 per month or Pro Managed at CA$99 per month. The Analytics add-on at CA$49 supplies website conversion data if it is not already tracked.

Limitations and honest notes

A dashboard shows what the source systems hold. If the CRM is not kept current, the dashboard is confidently wrong.

Not every source updates in real time; accounting and search data typically refresh daily. The dashboard shows when each number was last pulled.

Vendor APIs change. The monthly source check exists because integrations break silently, and the hosting tier covers the repair.

Questions

Is the data live?

Some sources are near real time, such as CRM and bookings; accounting and search data are usually pulled daily. Each number shows when it was last updated.

Do all our tools need to be connected?

Only the ones that supply a number you will act on. Fewer, reliable sources beat many flaky ones.

Can it send alerts?

Yes. Thresholds such as 'more than five leads uncontacted' or 'overdue invoices above a set amount' trigger an email or SMS.

Does it replace accounting reports?

No. It shows the handful of financial numbers you check daily; your accountant's reports remain the record.
