For manufacturers and industrial suppliers in Canada
Websites, RFQ intake and portals for manufacturers

The short answer
A manufacturer's website is read by engineers and buyers who want facts: what you make, with what equipment, to what tolerances, in what volumes, with which certifications. Redenn builds manufacturer sites on Next.js with capability pages built for verification, RFQ intake that accepts drawings and routes to the right estimator, and a customer portal for accounts, from CA$799 for a Business Plus site and a Custom quote for the portal.
The problems we hear from manufacturers and industrial suppliers
- Our site is a brochure; engineers cannot tell what we can actually do or at what volume.
- RFQs arrive by email with a drawing attached and half the specs missing, and estimating chases the rest.
- Trade show leads sit in a spreadsheet and nobody follows up after the second week.
- Repeat customers phone for order status, documents and pricing that a portal could show them.
- Distributors and reps need current spec sheets and we email PDFs around.
- We are ISO certified and it is mentioned in a footer nobody reads.
The solution architecture
Each piece maps to a real Redenn service with a published price.
Capability pages built for verification
Processes, materials, equipment list, tolerances, volumes and lead-time ranges, each on its own page, written for an engineer. Certifications shown as held with the scope stated. It is the content a buyer needs to shortlist you.
Website DevelopmentRFQ intake with drawings and routing
A form that accepts drawings and models, asks for material, quantity, tolerance and due date, acknowledges instantly and routes to the right estimator by process. Estimating starts with a complete request.
Document AutomationFollow-up for RFQs and trade show leads
Every quote sent gets a scheduled check-in with a stop rule, and trade show contacts get a short sequence that ends in a call. It is the follow-up the sales team means to do.
Lead Follow-Up AutomationA customer portal for accounts
Customers and distributors log in for order status where your ERP can share it, spec sheets, certificates, drawings and pricing for their account. Custom work on Redenn Dynamic or Pro Managed hosting.
Customer PortalAn account-based pipeline
CRM Setup with accounts, contacts, open RFQs, quotes and won business by process, so sales and estimating share one view.
CRM SetupSearch and AI visibility for technical queries
Capability pages with definitions, tables and specifications are exactly the citable content search engines and AI assistants can surface when an engineer asks who does a process in a material in Canada.
Search + AI VisibilityPaid search for the processes you want more of
Google Ads for specific process and material terms, sent to the matching capability page and RFQ form, measured by RFQs rather than clicks.

How customers find a manufacturer in Canada
Buyers and engineers find suppliers through referrals, trade shows, supplier directories and search for a specific process, material or part type. They shortlist by reading capability pages, checking certifications and looking at equipment lists, then send an RFQ to two or three shops. The website is a verification document first and a marketing document second.
Google states that its AI features in Search use the core index and ranking systems with no special requirements beyond standard SEO practice. Capability pages with real specifications, tables and consistent company details are what get surfaced, in classic results and when an AI assistant is asked which Canadian shops do a given process. A brochure with adjectives is not citable.
What a manufacturer website must do
It should let a buyer verify you, let an engineer send a complete RFQ, and let a customer serve themselves.
| Page or feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Capability pages by process | Equipment, materials, tolerances, volumes; the shortlist content. |
| Equipment list | Specific machines and capacities that engineers check. |
| Certifications page with scope | ISO and industry certifications as held, with what they cover. |
| RFQ form with drawing upload | Complete requests routed to the right estimator. |
| Industries served pages | Speaks to each buyer's sector in its language. |
| Customer and distributor portal | Status, documents, spec sheets and account pricing. |
| Careers page | Skilled trades recruiting, which is a constraint for most shops. |
Automation and CRM for manufacturers
Manufacturing sales are slow and account-based, so the automation is about completeness and persistence: RFQs that arrive complete, quotes that get followed up, trade show leads that get called, and customers who find their own documents. The ERP stays the system of record; the portal and CRM read from it where it allows and stand alone where it does not.
Worked example at published prices: Business Plus at CA$799 with eight pages including capability pages and an RFQ form, Lead Follow-Up Automation from CA$149, CRM Setup from CA$299, and the Search + AI Foundation at CA$299 for citable capability content. A customer portal is quoted as Custom with a fixed price and ship date on Redenn Pro Managed hosting at CA$99/month, which includes staging and priority support.
- RFQ acknowledged instantly and routed by process to an estimator.
- Quote follow-ups on a schedule with a stop rule.
- Trade show contacts sequenced to a call within the sales team's window.
- Documents and status self-served from the portal.
Compliance and trust
Show certifications exactly as held, with the registrar and the scope, and keep certificates current in the portal; a buyer's quality team will ask for them. Do not claim capabilities or tolerances you cannot deliver on the page an engineer will hold you to. If the company has 50 or more employees in Ontario, the AODA requires the public website to conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.
Sales emails to buyers are commercial electronic messages under CASL, which applies to business-to-business messaging with some exceptions, so sequences are built with consent, identification and an unsubscribe option. RFQs and portal accounts contain personal and confidential business information, handled under PIPEDA or the equivalent provincial law with access controls. Serving the Quebec market means the site must be available in French under the Charter of the French Language.
Questions
Can the RFQ form accept CAD files and drawings?
Yes. The form accepts drawings and models, asks for material, quantity, tolerance and due date, and routes to the estimator for that process. Files are stored in an access-controlled location, not an inbox.
Can the portal show order status from our ERP?
Where the ERP has an API or export, yes. We confirm the integration path before quoting; without it, the portal still serves documents, certificates, spec sheets and account pricing.
Will capability pages help us get found by AI search?
Specifications, tables and definitions are the kind of content AI assistants and search engines can cite, and Google says its AI features use the same index and ranking as regular Search. We do not guarantee citations or rankings.
What does a manufacturer website cost with Redenn?
Business Plus at CA$799 covers a capability site with an RFQ form. A Growth System from CA$1,299 adds CRM integration, chat and the Search + AI Foundation. A customer portal is a Custom quote.
Do you write the technical content?
Professional copywriting is from CA$99 per page, and for capability pages it is done with your engineers so every specification is one you stand behind.
