The short answer

A lead pipeline is the defined path an enquiry follows from first contact to won or lost, with a stage, an owner and a next action on every record. Redenn builds it inside your CRM as part of CRM Setup from CA$299, wires your lead sources into it, and adds follow-up automation so stuck leads surface before they go cold.

What changes

  • You can see every open lead and its stage on one screen
  • Leads that have not moved in a set time are flagged to a person
  • Quotes sent and quotes accepted are counted, so the close rate is known
  • Lost reasons are recorded, so the pattern is visible

What is included

  • Stage definitions with entry and exit rules
  • Required next action and owner on every lead
  • Stuck-lead alerts by stage and age
  • Won and lost reasons captured
  • Weekly pipeline summary by email
  • Follow-up automation as an option

How it works

  1. 01

    Define the stages

Five to seven stages with rules for moving between them, agreed with the people who sell.

  2. 02

    Build

Stages, required fields, owners and alerts configured in the CRM.

  3. 03

    Connect

Every lead source enters the pipeline at the right stage with its origin recorded.

  4. 04

    Review weekly

A weekly summary of what moved, what is stuck and what was lost, and why.

Who this is for

Businesses where a sale takes several steps and several days: renovators and roofers quoting, realtors and brokers nurturing, manufacturers quoting configured work, law firms with consultations before engagement. Empire Framing Inc., a custom framing contractor working across Manitoba, Ontario, Alberta and the GTA, is the kind of business where quotes move through stages over time.

If sales close on the first call, a pipeline is overkill. Lead Follow-Up Automation on its own is enough.

How it works

A default pipeline for a quoting business. Stage names and rules are changed to match yours.

What it costs

The pipeline is built as part of CRM Setup from CA$299. Lead Follow-Up Automation from CA$149 adds the reminders and escalations; CRM integration from CA$99 connects additional sources. The CRM vendor's subscription is paid to the vendor.

Limitations and honest notes

A pipeline is a discipline before it is a tool. Stages must be honest, and leads must be moved when things happen; the weekly summary shows quickly if they are not.

Redenn does not guarantee close rates. The pipeline makes the rate visible and shows where leads stall; improving it is sales work.

Reports are only as good as the data entered. Required fields by stage help, but they cannot fix a team that skips the CRM.

Questions

How many stages should a pipeline have?

Five to seven. Fewer hides where leads stall; more becomes a chore that nobody keeps current.

What counts as a stuck lead?

A lead that has sat in one stage past a limit you set, such as two days in New or two weeks in Quoted. The alert goes to the owner, then escalates.

Can I see the pipeline on my phone?

Yes. Established CRMs have mobile apps, and the weekly summary arrives by email.

Does it work for long sales cycles?

Yes. Stage age limits are set per stage, so a quote that legitimately takes a month is not flagged as stuck after a week.

Manage it. With lead pipeline.

Configure a website in minutes, or ask for a written quote. Quotes arrive within two business days.
