Static first, no database unless you need it
Most business websites are the same for every visitor: services, prices, a contact form. Those pages can be built once and served from a global CDN, which is fast, cheap to run and has almost nothing to hack. That is what Redenn Lite and Redenn Business are for.
A database earns its cost when the site stores things: bookings, customer accounts, quotes, portals, dashboards. Then you need Redenn Dynamic or Pro Managed, with a managed Postgres database, authentication and monitoring. We do not add a database to a brochure site to justify a bigger plan.

Usage billing, stated plainly
Dynamic plans include normal usage. If an application grows past the included tiers of the underlying providers (bandwidth, compute, storage, SMS, telephony, email, AI models or external APIs), that usage is billed at the provider's cost. You see it on the invoice with the provider named, and we tell you before a change in your traffic is likely to cause it.
Static plans have no usage surprises for normal business traffic. If a static site ever needed more, we would tell you and quote it first.

Which plan does a normal business website need?
Redenn Business at CA$199/year covers most business sites with forms. A single-page Launch site with no server features fits Redenn Lite at CA$99/year.
Can I move my site to another host later?
Yes. You own the code and the domain, and the site is a standard Next.js project that other hosts can run.
Are backups included?
Redenn Business and above include backups of site content. For Dynamic and Pro Managed, database backup arrangements are set out in your written quote.
Does hosting include email?
No. Business email is best kept with a dedicated email provider; we set up the DNS records so it works with your domain.
