You own your domain. Redenn manages it only if you ask, and never holds a client domain hostage. The domain is registered in your name or your company's name at Cloudflare Registrar, with you as the registrant, so you can move it to another provider at any time.
Redenn's only charge is CA$9.99/year for management: renewals, DNS records for your website and email, and keeping the domain pointed at the right place. The registration itself is billed at the registrar's own price, which we pass through without markup.
Who can register a .ca domain
CIRA's Canadian Presence Requirements limit who can hold a .ca: for example Canadian citizens, permanent residents, Canadian corporations and holders of a Canadian trademark. A business registered outside Canada usually cannot hold a .ca in its own name.
For a Canadian business, a .ca tells customers where you are. Many businesses register both the .ca and the .com of their name and point one at the other so nobody else can use it.

How prices work
Registrar prices differ by ending and change over time, and some names are sold by the registry as premium names at a much higher price. That is why this page shows the registrar's live price when the registrar integration is connected, and says so plainly when it is not.
Renewal prices can differ from the first-year price. Both are shown when available, alongside the management fee, so the yearly cost is never a surprise.

Who owns the domain if Redenn registers it?
You do. You are the registrant of record, and you can transfer the domain away at any time. We never hold a client domain hostage.
What does the management fee cover?
CA$9.99/year covers renewals, DNS for your website and email, and keeping records correct when your site or email provider changes. The registrar's registration and renewal prices are billed at cost.
Can I keep my domain where it is?
Yes. You can keep it at your current registrar and point it at your new site yourself or with our help. Management is optional.
Why does it say 'likely available'?
Without the registrar integration we check the public registration database (RDAP). No record usually means the name is free, but only the registrar can confirm it at purchase.
